This week, the Hospitality Design Group, Nielsen Expositions, and partners K&C Associates, Gury City, and Dong-A Daily News launches the inaugural International Design & Development Conference (IDD) in Seoul June 22-23. Focused on commercial and residential design, the overriding initiative of the IDD Conference is to provide the Asia design, architecture, and development community with inspiration, insight, and information from a global perspective. With speakers from Wyndham, Rockwell Group, Stonehill & Taylor, RTKL, BBGM, WATG, and many more leading industry players, this year’s program is committed to innovation, sustainability, and globalization-the key drivers shaping the future of design, architecture, and development.
Recognized as one of the world’s most dynamic cities for development growth, Seoul is fast becoming a city to watch, with a burgeoning design and architectural community. Through tailored educational sessions and exciting networking events, speakers and attendees will share their vision for the future. In fact, witness firsthand Seoul’s future, as one of the largest mixed-use development projects is being planned on the outskirts of Seoul in Guri City. Set for completion in 2015, the multibillion development project, called Nature Culture and Design (NCD), will include a design center, hotels, foreigners’ commercial zone, condominiums, a design graduate school, an Opera House, and more.
Special thanks to the event’s partners, NIAB and NKAB board members, the Gyeonggi Province, the Korean Society of Interior Design and MBC Broadcasting, and sponsors Shin Han Bank and Nong Hyub Bank.
