Los Angeles-based furniture and accessory designer JANUS et Cie has recently established its international headquarters in Singapore and opened inside two prime retail locations in Asia.
Soren Clausen, senior vice president of international operations for JANUS et Cie, led the move of the international headquarters to Singapore and opened a sales office in
Hong Kong to more comprehensively serve the Asia-Pacific market. The new Asia-based offices increase the footprint of the existing international field offices⎯⎯which cover Europe/Middle East and numerous locations in Latin America and Canada.
“Establishing our international head offices in Singapore and our Hong Kong sales office has provided us with a much-needed proximity to our current and new clients across Asia Pacific,” says Clausen. “We have seen a significant growth in this region in our multiple market sectors and it was time to establish a more substantial and local presence in Asia. As a result of the new steps in our global expansion, we have streamlined our supply chain and adapted our product offerings in order to best serve our Asian clientele.”
As an important step in its expansion into Asia, JANUS et Cie has established an exclusive relationship for residential business in the Singapore and Malaysia showrooms of SPACE, considered Southeast Asia’s largest retailer of contemporary design.
“We are honored to have established this exclusive with SPACE as they are one of the most important high-end retailers in the Asia-Pacific region,” says Janice Feldman, JANUS et Cie’s founder and president. “Our shop-in-shop concept, alongside the world’s most renowned global design brands, adds to what is sure to be a great success. SPACE’s showrooms are truly exquisite and their concept is impeccably executedSPACE is simply the perfect match for us.”
