J/Brice Design International will design a new wing for the Karibe Hotel & Spa in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The addition will include 100 luxury guestrooms, an upscale restaurant, and entertainment venue with rooftop terraces boasting sea views. The property’s owner, Richard Buteau, sees the project as a way to jump start post-quake tourism.
“Our design scheme will reflect the style and aesthetic of Haiti’s architecture, art, fashion and remarkable sunsets-natural tones with bold pops of color that include turquoise, coral, azure, and the metallics, says J/Brice CEO.
The new wing, which doubles the hotel’s guestroom capacity, is scheduled for mid-2013 completion.
