Loews Regency Hotel in Midtown Manhattan has reopened following a yearlong, $100 million redesign. The hotel renovation includes an updated lobby, restaurant, bar, café, and four meeting rooms.
Alongside Rockville, Maryland-based architecture firm Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A), New York-based Rottet Studio completed the lobby and guestrooms. Blending modern design with classic style, the lobby’s 24-foot high ceiling and grand marble entrance pair with bespoke finishes and an urban, neutral palette. The lobby lounge boasts rich velvet sofas and an art installation by Brooklyn-based artist Nina Helms.
Loews Regency’s 379 guestrooms, also completed by the Rottet Studio, include 58 suites, provide a fresh aesthetic. The hotel will also debut six signature suites later this spring, which will each feature individual design concepts and views over Park Avenue.
Designed by New York-based Meyer Davis Studio, with JN+A completing the architecture, several F&B outlets were added to the property. The Regency Bar & Grill encompasses a 135-seat dining room and a 32-seat bar, while Sant Ambroeus at the Regency is a Milanese style coffee bar with a jewel box-like atmosphere.
