Joie de Vivre Hospitality is expanding outside of California. The company signed an agreement with owner Sydell Group (the developers behind Ace Hotel New York, Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs, and the Nomad Hotel in New York) to manage the 195-room Hotel Theodore in Scottsdale, Arizona. The property will be reconceived and relaunched as a Joie de Vivre hotel in the fall following a significant renovation.
The refurbishment, which will embrace the hotel’s Southwestern roots, will feature a new restaurant concept opening onto the city’s greenbelt, two indoor/outdoor bars, 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space, two pools (and pool bar), and a lushly landscaped resort campus.
