Joie de Vivre will enter the Chicago market in February 2012 with Hotel Lincoln. The property, currently undergoing a comprehensive makeover, will feature 184 guestrooms boasting views of either Lake Michigan or downtown Chicago. Amenities include a lobby bar and lounge, all-season rooftop bar, and Perennial Virant restaurant.
Dirty Lines Design is responsible for the hotel’s new look. “One of the guiding themes for the hotel is the idea of being ‘connected,'” says Andrew Alford, the firm’s owner and principal. “We want guests to feel like they are staying in someone’s home in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The hotel will have a very residential feel with an eccentric-meets-collegial preppy style that will be realized through a mix of vintage and contemporary décor and artwork.”
