The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) will host its 2012 Visionaries Gala on November 27 to celebrate the contributions of four individuals in the luxury, fragrance, and design industries. Among the honorees are Joyce and Maya Romanoff, designers of innovative wallcoverings and surface materials.
“Maya and Joyce’s love of beauty is equaled only by the never-ending pursuit of quality in their production, and the integrity of their relationships with designers, craftsmen, and philanthropic institutions,” says MAD’s chief curator David McFadden. “They are respected and esteemed members of the MAD family, and the museum is thrilled to recognize their ongoing efforts to sustain the rich history of American artisan-made products.”
Other honorees include perfumer Sophia Grojsman of International Flavors & Fragrances and Karyn Khoury of the Estée Lauder Companies.
