Jumeirah Group is on track to open its first Maldives resort, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi (formerly Jumeirah Meradhoo), in January. Accommodations include 22 island villas, as well as an exclusive water village, called the Hermitage Collection, including 16 ocean villas, that are separated from the main island. The villas range from 2,150 to 6,500 square feet and offer stunning sea views, direct access to the beach, and 24-hour butler service. The design of the spacious bedrooms is inspired by traditional Maldivian architecture. Guests can also expect three restaurants, a bar, and Talise Spa with over-water treatment rooms and extensive sports and leisure facilities.
A second Maldives resort, Jumeirah Vittaveli, is scheduled to open in March 2011.
