Jumeirah Group has signed agreements to operate new hotels in Dubai and China. The 5-Star Jumeirah Zabeel Saray (left), located on the west crescent of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, opens on January 4th with a culturally inspired design that interweaves Ottoman and Arabic themes through handpainted frescoes, Turkish artworks, and lavish murals. The hotel offers 405 guestrooms, including 38 luxury villas situated on the beach; the Talise Ottoman Spa, boasting 42 individual spa rooms and suites, an indoor swimming pool, and three authentic Turkish hammams; 10 restaurants and bars; a nightclub; tennis courts; boutiques; fitness facilities; and a theater and event center.
Opening in 2014, Jumeirah Thousand Islands Lake Resort in Qiandaohu, China, will feature 89 guestrooms with lakeside views, plus another 50 rooms in villas within the surrounding trees; an all-day-dining restaurant, two specialty waterside restaurants, a water-moon bar, and a pool bar; and a spa with swimming pools and a fitness center.
