The 153-key JW Marriott Cusco has opened its doors at the gateway of famed sanctuary Machu Picchu in Peru. Built on the grounds of a colonial monastery, the hotel features archeological exhibits with the findings uncovered during excavation work. During the construction phases of the hotel, property owner Inversiones La Rioja collaborated with national and international institutions to carefully protect human heritage.

JW Marriott Cusco features Pirka Restaurant, which will include an original colonial wall from the convent and offer modern Peruvian cuisine, along with the Qespi Bar & Ninna Sonnco Lounge. Additional amenities include retail outlets, a fitness center, spa with relaxation pool, and in-room supplemental oxygen to adjust to the 11,200-foot elevation.
