JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek has completed a $5 million renovation to its 196 guestrooms. The accommodations, designed by David Ashen of d-ash design, showcase the idea of an updated Denver bungalow, a modern twist on the timeless Craftsman design found throughout Denver. The color palette features dark blues, with hints of magenta, while new carpet in the public corridors features patterns of Rocky Mountain columbine, the Colorado state flower. “We tried to capture the urban sophistication of Cherry Creek while also playing up the unique relationship that Denver has with the outdoors,” says Ashen.
In addition, Ashen commissioned 600-plus Colorado artists for original works. Other changes to the hotel include new furnishings, carpet, and wallcoverings in the 8,400 square feet of meeting space and the concierge guest lounge, as well as a new fitness center and upgraded business center.
