The JW Marriott luxury hotel brand is planning to open 10 hotels in five countries this year, bringing its portfolio to 54 properties. Here’s a preview of the hotels and resorts in the works:
JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou, China: Opening in June, this 330-room hotel will offer three restaurants, an inviting lobby lounge, and an entertainment bar. Recreational amenities will include an indoor swimming pool, luxurious spa, and fitness center. The hotel also will have 5,413 square feet of flexible function space in varying configurations.
JW Marriott Hotel Bengeluru, India: Located close to Bengalore’s commercial center and premier shopping and entertainment areas, this 250-key hotel will open later this year. F&B concepts include three specialty restaurants, a brasserie, pool bar, al fresco poolside dining, and 24-hour coffee shop. Other elements include a nightclub, spa, swimming pool, fitness center, and expansive function space.
JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh, India: Scheduled to open late this year, this 175-room property will be situated in the center of Chandigarh—a modern city with gardens, lakes, and parks designed by Le Corbusier as a "living organism." Included in the hotel will be a variety of restaurants, bars, and lounges, as well as a full-service spa, outdoor swimming pool and fitness center.
JW Marriott Hotel Chennai, India: This 371-room hotel opens later this year in the developing commercial area southwest of Chennai’s central business district. Providing sweeping panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, the hotel will boast superb F&B experiences conceived by world-renowned restaurant designers such as Super Potato, the largest conference facilities in Chennai, and other luxurious amenities and services.
JW Marriott Hotel Ankara, Turkey: Opening in November, this 24-story, 416-room hotel is designed in a rich palette of colored glass, where the tower will play with the sunlight by day and, by night, its lights will be a beacon serve as a beacon.
JW Marriott Hotel Bogota, Colombia: Scheduled to open in mid-July, this 264-key hotel will be located in the heart of the city’s financial district. For dining and entertainment, it will have three distinctive restaurants, an inviting lounge, and a rooftop bar and lounge. Other amenities include a rooftop swimming pool, fitness center, and flexible function space.
In the U.S., JW Marriott hotels are in the works for San Antonio, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago.
