JW Marriott Marquis Miami has opened as the centerpiece of Metropolitan Miami, a complex featuring residential, entertainment, retail, hotel, and office components. The luxury hotel, designed by RTKL, features three restaurants, including db Bistro Moderne from celebrated French chef Daniel Boulud. Recreation also plays a big role, with two full floors dedicated to an NBA-approved basketball court, outdoor swimming pool, a golf school with virtual lessons, bowling alley, media room, billiards room, and fitness center. Other amenities include the Rik-Rak Salon & Spa and 80,000 square feet of flexible function space.
In addition, Hotel Beaux Arts will open in mid-November as part of the same development. Situated on the 39th floor with city and bay views, the hotel provides guests with their own private check-in and personal escort to 44 lavishly decorated guestrooms and suites that feature a modern elegance with plush bedding, exclusive Bang & Olufsen state-of-the-art video and sound systems throughout, hardwood floors, and Italian marble bathrooms.
