JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix has wrapped up its $16 million renovation of the resort’s 950 guestrooms and suites. Inspired by the textures and colors of the Sonoran desert, the refurbished accommodations feature textured desert sand carpeting and wallcoverings; contemporary lighting treatments; refinished armoires, sofas, chairs, and furnishings; floor-to-ceiling sheer drapes; and artwork depicting warm desert landscapes, indigenous flora, and fauna. New leather-padded headboards feature adjustable night lamps, while new mirrors and rugs add a further sense of elegance to the spa-like bathrooms.
In addition, the resort’s presidential suites have been completely redesigned and now feature hardwood floors, new cabinetry, wallcoverings, accent carpeting, and all new furniture. The room renovations extend to the guest corridors with new carpet, tile, wallcoverings, paint, furniture, and fixtures reflecting desert elements.
