Kamalame Cay has opened Magnolia on Andros Island in the Bahamas. Magnolia is a 3,800-square-foot, four bedroom villa.
With French doors and 20-foot, traditional peak ceilings, the villa’s great room boasts 1,200 square feet of living and dining space and a gourmet kitchen. Each of the four ensuite bathrooms have stone floors, rain showers, Kohler bathroom fixtures, and custom cabinets. The property also boasts two beachfront rainshowers.
In Magnolia’s entranceway, a 30-foot foyer opens onto a 1,200-square-foot open-concept living and dining space. Surrounded by a tropical garden, Magnolia opens onto a beachfront terrace.
Having called the West Indies home for six generations, the Kamalame Cay’s owners designed the space to reflect its natural environment. The interiors are enveloped in a coastal palette of beige and white accented with graphic ikat prints and bright splashes of blue and turquoise.
These interiors blend modern convenience with a fresh, contemporary take on classic West Indies charm and balance elegant designer fabrics and furnishings against global pieces sourced from Bali and India.
