Chicago-based Kaper Design has completed their most recent restaurant space⎯⎯Dryhop Brewers, Chicago.
Featuring a workshop theme, Kaper Design focused their design on the craftsmen and their crafts. The 50-foot long bar features an urban forested, lightening-stuck white oak slab⎯⎯which rests on a stacked wood face reminiscent of a stacked lumber pile.

Specifically designed for the space, all tables have butcher-block style tops and custom designed cold-welded steel bases. A plaid wool banquette and industrial light fixtures round out the front of house, while brewing equipment is showcased behind steel and glass custom partitions.
“We wanted to create a space that is both comfortable and inviting while also highlighting the brewing process and equipment used,” says Katie Perkins, lead designer for Dryhop. “The visual connection we created within the space allows for a wide demographic and truly showcases the brewing and woodworking crafts.”
