Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square has opened its doors in Vilnius, Lithuania. Boasting neoclassical grandeur accented with contemporary design elements, the property underwent a restoration that uncovered the remains of the city’s 16th-century defensive wall-part of which has been glassed-in and visible at the entrance of Telegrafas restaurant. A lobby outfitted in white marble contributes to the hotel’s classic appeal.

Each of the 96 guestrooms and suites features individual character carried out through parquet floors, fine fabrics, small mosaic tiles in bathrooms, and a color palette that echoes the traditions of Baltic Lithuania while creating a modern aesthetic. Standard and Superior guestrooms on the top floor showcase a unique window design and a layout with attic roofs. Meanwhile, Deluxe accommodations offer high ceilings, Cathedral Square views, and large baths with separate shower. Suites retain the building’s original architecture features such as alcove balconies.

Guests can access a spa with six treatment rooms, a fitness area, indoor pool, and two saunas. The neoclassical Grand Ballroom, outfitted with a glass roof, is the highlight of the 6,500 square feet of meeting space. The lobby bar and lounge, Le Salon, rounds out the hotel’s offerings.
