Kempinski has begun its 11-year contract to manage the 237-room Hotel Fleuve Congo in Kinshasa, Africa’s third-largest city. At 22 stories tall, the 5-Star property showcases views over its namesake, the Congo River. The hotel, centrally located in the embassy district, was originally designed as an office building before undergoing a transformation in 2012.
Guests have access to three specialty restaurants and four bars, as well as three boutiques located in the lobby, and five meeting and events spaces. Leisure facilities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and rooms for billiards and snooker. A full-service spa also is in the works.
