Kempinski Hotels is set to open its first property in Myanmar, the Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw.

Debuting on November 1st, the 141-room and suite property is spread over four villas and located near the Myanmar International Convention Center (MICC).
The new-build hotel’s design was conceived with the heritage of Burma in mind and an emphasis on local arts, crafts, and furnishings. A total of five restaurants and bars will feature local ingredients and flavors, and six meeting rooms will accommodate up to 400 guests. Kempinski The Spa will be added in 2015.
Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw houses the teakwood Royal Pavilion, which is inspired by the 18th-century architecture of the early Kone Baung dynasty. In ancient times, similar pavilions in Myanmar were the welcoming lounges of palaces and provided relaxation areas for visiting diplomats, kings, and other royalty.
