Its newest hotel, Hotel Palomar Chicago, will open May 1, 2010, in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announced last week.
The art-themed hotel, which is offering pre-opening group rates starting at $99, will have 261 guestrooms and 5,800 square feet of meeting space, including a 2,555-square-foot ballroom.
"The Hotel Palomar will introduce an original perspective on Chicago hospitality," general manager Nabil Moubayed says in a statement. "The hotel conveys an inviting presence with a sophisticated yet imaginative experience that aims to invigorate everyone who walks through its doors."
Along with complimentary high-speed wireless Internet, the hotel’s planned amenities include pet-friendly guestrooms, a green roof, and a rooftop indoor pool offering expansive city views of downtown Chicago.
