KnollTextiles was honored with two NeoCon Awards. The company took home a Gold Award in the upholstery category for Rodarte for Knoll Luxe, designed by the famous fashion design sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy in cooperation with creative director Dorothy Cosonas. “Translating fashion fabrics into suitable interior textiles has pushed Knoll in innovative directions-discovery of new mills, new constructions, and new technologies,” Cosonas says. “It has been a very inspiring cooperation to work with the Mulleavy sisters.”
Meanwhile, the Silver Award in wall treatments went to Genre and Box Office by Suzanne Tick. The multiuse fabrics provide an architectural aesthetic as well as excellent acoustic properties, extreme durability, and easy cleanability. They are the first fabrics to make use of 100 percent Earthtex® fibers that are both inherently antimicrobial and PVC-free.
