RUMOR has it in Las Vegas. The new two-story boutique hotel, designed by Tandem Las Vegas and commissioned by the The Siegel Group, opened earlier this month in the former St. Tropez Hotel, located across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. With 150 suites, RUMOR displays a chic yet glamorously whimsical design.
Visitors to the boutique enter via 10-foot glass doors and are met by two handcarved cantera stone Chinese Foo dogs. The lobby (shown below) offers a lounge-type feel and features ivory-hued floors with metallic, crosshatch accents that contrast against a brightly colored and patterned ceiling. A white Victorian-styled reception desk boasts traditional millwork.
Throughout RUMOR a continuing theme of lavender shades serve to unite the various areas of the hotel. The contemporary suites feature a clean detail with gray-hued walls that blend nicely with the lavender accents, floor-to-ceiling glass patio/balcony doors, and elevated spa-styled bathtubs, Warhol-inspired chandelier art, and modern furniture.
“Without question, we have designed an entirely new hotel experience for Las Vegas locals and visitors,” says Stephen Siegel, founder and CEO of The Siegel Group, in a statement. “Sexy yet unpretentious, glamorous and accessible, eclectic with a relaxing and inviting ambiance are what RUMOR’s look and feel are all about.”
