Le Meridien marks its 100th hotel with the 254-room Le Meridien Coimbatore in southern India. The brand’s signature arrival experience sets the tone for the design and guests’ stay. Large-scale artwork is designed to stimulate dialogue, while scents, sounds, and light form a sensory experience. A variety of bars and dining outlets further defines the hotel, including Latest Recipe, an all-day-dining restaurant with an interactive, open kitchen; Peakcock, an authentic Indian restaurant; Ponzu, a Pan-Asian venue; Favola for Italian dining; Latitude 11, a hot spot for wine and cocktails; and Illy Café for coffee lovers. A spa and nightclub are slated to open soon.
