The 202-key Le Meridien in Center City Philadelphia is scheduled to open this month. The hotel, which has just been acquired by HEI Hotels & Resorts, will occupy a former YMCA, built in the Georgian revival style in 1912 and designed by architect Horace Trumbauer. A skylight ushers natural light into the central atrium courtyard, while guestrooms feature black and white decor with red accents that enhance the hotel’s rich millwork. Amenities include more than 5,300 square feet of meeting space, including a spacious ballroom overlooking City Hall; Amuse restaurant and wine bar; and fitness center.
