The Leading Hotels of the World has added five member hotels to its collection:
1. Taj Cape Town, opening at month’s end, was once the home to the South African Reserve Bank and Temple Chambers and retains its original marble pillars, vaulted ceilings, glass domes, and other architectural elements of the historic buildings. Also included are three restaurants, spa, fitness center, and indoor swimming pool.
2. Banyan Tree Mayakoba on Mexico’s Riviera Maya is an ecologically sensitive resort that features 132 free-standing one-, two-, and three- bedroom villas, all with private pools and appointed with unique Mayan-inspired furnishings with Asian touches. The resort also offers multiple dining outlets, the Banyan Tree Spa, beach club, and golf.
3. Hotel Guarda Golf in Crans Montana, Switzerland, has 19 guestrooms, six suites, three dining venues, spa zone, indoor lap pool, fitness center, and two golf courses.
4. Due to open later this spring, the Royal Mansour Marrakech is built within the walls of the old city. Resembling a traditional medina, the hotel comprises riads (three-story suites), restaurants and lounges, spa, and library. The four-bedroom riad is a self-contained unit with its own private swimming pool, elevator, gymnasium, hammam, home cinema, personal chef, and housekeeper.
5. Surrounded by 30 acres of rolling hills, Capella Singapore (pictured) offers 112 rooms, suites, villas, and two-story Colonial Manors that feature an outdoor garden with private plunge pool, an outdoor shower and bathtub, a spacious balcony, or a private Jacuzzi. The hotel also has two restaurants, three swimming pools, spa, health club, fitness center, and tennis court.
