Restaurant veteran Thierry Perez is putting the final touches on his new fast-casual concept, L’Epicerie Market in Culver City, California, set to open in late September. Inspired by Perez’s childhood and time recently spent in Europe, the market’s sleek minimalist design features exposed ceilings, concrete finished floors, a tasting bar in the center of the space, café and retail components, and floor-to-ceiling retractable doors that offer an indoor/outdoor experience and plentiful natural light. An ice cream display and refrigerated self-service section of to-go items is located on one side of the room, adjacent to a large walk-in wine cellar, while a magazine rack displays food and wine publications along with various French, Italian, and Spanish magazines.
