Fronting a marina, Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay has opened following a two-year, $31 million makeover. Anchoring the renovation is the new lobby, featuring pod seating with LCD TVs, nooks for working and socializing, and an indoor/outdoor Espressamente Illy Café. The lobby flows into Catch Grill & Bar, an indoor/outdoor restaurant on the bay, featuring décor inspired by South Florida’s natural landscape.
Meanwhile, the hotel’s 600 guestrooms feature a balcony with bay or downtown views, flatscreen televisions, new hub for laptop, a multi-functional desk, and contemporary dual sink fixtures and rain-style showerheads in the bathroom. The refurbishment also encompassed 20,000 square feet, including two ballrooms; fitness center and pool; and a concierge lounge.
