Michael Gross has stepped down from his position as CEO of Morgans Hotel Group Co. Jason Kalisman, the company’s chairman of the board of directors, has been named CEO on an interim basis.
Since March 2011, Kalisman has been one of the company’s directors. He is the founder and CEO of the Talisman Group, LLC, an investment firm and a founding member of OTK Associates, LLC⎯⎯the company’s largest stockholder. Prior to founding the Talisman Group, Kalisman served as vice president at GEM Realty Capital, Inc., an integrated global real estate investment firm. 


Prior to co-founding OTK Associates in 2008, Kalisman worked at the Goldman Sachs Group⎯⎯a global investment banking and management firm⎯⎯from 2001 to 2007. Kalisman received a bachelor of arts in economics from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
