The Montauk Beach House has opened its doors in East Hampton, New York. Designed by Two Hats Bureau-a collaboration between hotel co-owner Chris Jones and creative director Walt Lindveld-the 33-room boutique hotel blends European chic style with a relaxed beach vibe. The lobby welcomes guests with an open-air feel afforded by a giant wall of glass doors that open onto the street. Soaring ceilings, beautiful art, and quirky furniture complete the look. The hotel offers four distinct types of guestrooms:
Poolside Ocean Mist rooms, where a 14-foot-wide window wall of glass greets guests at the entryway, implement paneled walls, wide-plank floors, and vintage-inspired furniture.
The Whitewater Lofts boast 11-foot ceilings and private balconies. Natural light floods the south-facing bedroom, which features exquisite bedding set against headboards handcrafted from 14-foot-wide reclaimed barn wood. Additional design elements include wide-plank whitewashed oak floors, board and batten walls, vintage lighting and furniture, and Belgian linen drapes.

The Whitewater Garden rooms make the most of summer in the Hamptons, thanks to a 200-square-foot private outdoor garden, hardwood decks, white sands, and oversized daybeds set against native feather reed grass and sailcloth shades.
Located on the second floor overlooking the hotel’s Beach Club, one-of-a-kind Moonlight Suites boast 14-foot beamed ceilings, walls of windows dressed in crushed Italian velvet drapes, and paneled walls and wide-plank floors reminiscent of an English Country home. Cast iron beds, full height mirrors, claw foot bathtubs with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, and exposed rainhead showers complete the look.
