Morgans Hotel Group has unveiled a new type of hotel gift shop at its Hudson hotel with Semi-Automatic, an oversized luxury vending machine. The machine is stocked with items such as a paperback version of Catcher in the Rye, a stylish toothbrush by Paul Smith, a retro Ouija board, a luxe Dagger Rosary by jewelry designer Pamela Love, a chic black sequin mini-skirt by Haute Hippie, 24k gold handcuffs, and a personal portrait shoot with renowned photographer Ben Watts. Semi-Automatic, which originally debuted last year at Mondrian in South Beach, will also dispense an original T-shirt created exclusively for Hudson by artist Chrissie Miller of SOPHOMORE.
