Morgans Hotel Group has announced plans for the 200-room Hudson London, scheduled to open in 2015. In related news, the company is investing $30 million to transform its Hudson hotel in New York. The refurbishment began with a complete 834-room renovation, including new furnishings, upgraded technology, and revamped lighting.
Morgans’ design team is collaborating with Rottet Studio for renovating public spaces, starting with a new European-style restaurant concept with a bohemian influence and transitional indoor/outdoor space. In addition, the Hudson Bar will boast 1940s French décor infused with a “rock and roll edge” while restoring original elements such as the Clemente ceiling fresco. Private Park and Library bar also will undergo enhancements. The project is slated for completion this fall.
