Movenpick Hotel Ankara has opened its doors in Turkey’s capital. The hotel’s architecture reflects the curved shaped of Nazar Boncugu, the eye-shaped amulet designed to ward off evil in Turkish culture. The atrium, topped by a glass ceiling, rises 12 stories for a contemporary feel. Meanwhile, traditional elements such as while Turkish marble and a lobby chandelier made from hundreds of handmade crystal balls honor local materials and traditions.
In guestrooms, soft green hues, autumnal tones, and American walnut create a welcome retreat. Guests also can access a wellness center with four massage rooms, a hammam bath, sauna, indoor plunge pool, and fitness zone. Dining options include flagship restaurant Plus, while function space comprises nine meeting rooms.
