Three new hospitality properties are coming to Catalina Island, located off the Southern California coast: the remodeled Pavilion Hotel, the transformed Descano Beach Club, and the waterfront Avalon Grille. The 71-room Pavilion Hotel, formerly the Pavilion Lodge, will feature a private lanai for most of the ground-floor guestrooms. Two luxury suites with ocean views are also slated for the property, which also includes a landscaped garden sitting area with firepit, an open air lounge near the from lobby, and an indoor lounge/hospitality room.
Meanwhile, the Descano Beach Club will now feature private cabana and chaise lounge rentals, as well as daytime and evening dining. The club also serves as the island’s activity headquarters, from renting kayaks to scuba gear. The American pub-style Avalon Grill will have a central bar and open architecture to create an al fresco atmosphere.
