The luxury NH Palacio de Tepa has opened in a renovated 19th-century mansion in Madrid’s art district. Design firm Ramon Esteve outfitted the 84 guestrooms in grays and beiges to play with the natural light flowing through the large windows and skylights. Different décor options are found across the hotel room types; on the fifth floor, for example, accommodations feature mansard roofs and minimalist design. Furthermore, two whitewashed interior patios, renovated in accordance with their former use as “corrala” yards, allow light to come in through the interior corridors of the hotel. Other amenities include Estado Puro restaurant, serving classic Spanish tapas, and banquet facilities.
