Former AH&LA chairman and NYLO founding partner John Russell has partnered with India’s Auromatrix Group, along with a team of lodging veterans, to form Advaya Hospitality. The new company will develop, acquire, franchise, and operate full-service and select-service hotels. The brand will launch simultaneously in the U.S. and India starting in Q2 2011 and then debut in cities around the globe.
In the U.S.-where targeted cities include New York, Miami, Atlanta, and Phoenix-hotels will boast the latest in technology and fun, unexpected design flourishes. Features include 60 to 155 guestrooms; a restaurant, bar, and lounge; meeting space; gym; and business center.
