Gaylord’s 2,900-room Opryland Resort and Convention Center, which accounts for 10 percent of the Nashville area’s guestrooms, is not accepting reservations until October due to flood damage. The 800,000 square feet that were flooded include exhibit halls, loading docks, and garden atriums, according to the Nashville Business Journal. Ballrooms and guestrooms were mostly unaffected by the floods.
Gaylord’s staff members are trying to relocate group business guests—who had booked 181,600 room nights over the next three months—to the company’s other properties in Dallas, Orlando, and Washington, DC.
