The New York Palace hotel will get a new look this summer, thanks to a $100 million redesign. The property’s new owner, Northwood Hospitality, has hired San Francisco-based BAMO to overhaul guestrooms, according to USA Today. The design will honor the history of the hotel-part of which is the former Villard Mansion-while integrating a timeless scheme punctuated by modern amenities. Details include custom headboards made of rosewood and leather, as well as ivory lacquer nightstands topped with gray-veined white stone.
