Ovolo Hotels is set to open the Ovolo 100 Shek Pai Wan Road in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Launching August 1st, the hotel is a modern interpretation of coastal living.
Designed by local firm KplusK Associates, the 85-room hotel will feature subtle maritime accents and textures to link the hotel’s interior with its surroundings. Beginning with the lobby and its covered terrace, the design captures the essence of Aberdeen’s historic seafront community.

Elements from the traditional fishing culture appear throughout the hotel. Driftwood tables, ropes, fenders, and Chinese lanterns decorate the Lo Lounge, while sheer net curtains, water-toned wallpaper, and fish scale cushions characterize the guestrooms. Topping off the building’s façade is a light beacon to evoke a lighthouse.
With 180 degrees of sea views, the guestrooms boast walk-in showers with vantage points and stainless steel and marble. Six rooms come fitted with an additional bunk bed fixed to the wall, and four corner sea view suites with extended living room areas grace the top floors of the hotel.

Next up for Ovolo is a New York-style warehouse conversion opening in Q4. The Wong Chuk Hang, which will feature 162 rooms, a rooftop bar, and an international restaurant, will be Hong Kong’s first warehouse-to-hospitality conversion.
