Six Senses Spas has been selected to manage the 32,000-square-foot spa at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Muscat, Oman. Set to open in February 2015, the spa will feature designs by Bangkok-based P49 Deesign.

Reflective of traditional Omani design, the spa will complement the hotel and feature domed ceilings, elegant arched walkways, columns, water channels, reflecting pools, and stone walls and floors.
Following the natural progression of the valley, the spa is artfully built into the surrounding stone and rock cliffs of the Hajar Mountains. Housed on three levels similar to an ancient Arabian fort, heavy wooden doors flank an entrance that leads into a smaller entryway.
The spa comprises a large reception area; relaxation lounge with a library, game room and a green bar; along with 17 treatment rooms and myriad wet facilities. The club includes a reception, gym, yoga studio, relaxation area, manicure and pedicure station, and hammams. The facility also features a female-only pool and the country’s only private beach for women.
