Joie de Vivre has unveiled its latest boutique property, the renovated beachside Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach, California. “This hotel has that Cinderella storyline,” says Joie de Vivre CEO Chip Conley. “It’s a humble family hotel being transformed into a fun, approachable, and authentically local hotel where people will want to spend time with old friends and make new ones too.”
Pacific Edge’s new retro-chic design will showcase the relaxed, sporty, and creative vibe of its locale through cheerful accent colors, edgy art pieces, pop-style furnishings, and surf-themed touches. The hotel has partnered with Bruce Brown Films to become the first official Endless Summer hotel, one of the most influential films of the surf genre, and will feature its defining artwork throughout the property as well as DVD box sets in the rooms.
Guests can also access two heated swimming pools; a gym and spa; a surf lounge for private events; the Villa, a refurbished event space that features an expansive deck on the sand; and Hide, another event space housed in a two-story beach cottage. Joie de Vivre will unveil an outdoor lounge called the Deck this fall.
