Nine hotels in Palm Springs, California, have undergone $180 million in recent renovations that capture the city’s many styles, including old Hollywood regency and desert modernism. Projects include:
Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel (formerly Wyndham), which completed a $20 million transformation featuring 30,000 square feet of remodeled meeting space, new guestrooms, new lobby, new restaurant and lounge, and fitness center. The Renaissance adjoins the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs, which wrapped up a $15 million renovation of its 197-key all-suite property. The hotel offers 13,000 square feet of meeting space, a new lobby area, new pool deck with luxury cabanas, new restaurant and lounge, and fitness center.
Hilton Palm Springs renovated its Elements spa.
Holiday Inn Resort completed a $20 million renovation in 2007.
Riviera Resort & Spa (pictured) finished a $70 million rejuvenation in October 2008.
Ace Hotel & Swim Club completed a $25 million transformation in February 2009 from a mid-century modern motel to a fun hip enclave.
Hotel Zoso renovated its lobby, restaurant, event space, and exterior.
Courtyard by Marriott and Spa Resort Casino round out the city’s revitalized hotel offerings.
