Pentahotels has opened a new property in Derby, the most centrally located city in the United Kingdom. With this opening, the pentahotels group adds a fifth hotel to its portfolio in the UK.
The 112-room hotel welcomes guests with the pentalounge-a design concept by Italian architect Matteo Thun-which mixes a lounge, bar, and restaurant area.
With the Derby opening, the brand continues to pursue its growth strategy, with plans to increase by 5,000 rooms by the end of 2014.
Launched in Europe, pentahotels is a design-led, neighborhood lifestyle brand represented by 25 hotels in Europe and Asia. The brand plans to open eight more properties by the end of 2015 and have 80 pentahotels in operation or under development globally by 2020.
