Karen Daroff, founder and president of Philadelphia-based Daroff Design (DDI), has been awarded the Leader of Innovation medal by Philadelphia University. She will be honored at an awards presentation on April 26th as part of Philadelphia University’s Celebration of Innovation Benefit Gala at the Hyatt at the Bellevue Hotel.
“The university draws candidates from a global market and brings the best of the best to Philadelphia,” says Daroff. “I have seen firsthand how the university professionally prepares some of the most creative and technically skilled students. Four alumni have joined the team directly out of school and have grown to be strong assets to DDI.”
During the weekend of gala events, some of the year’s most distinguished student work will be on display-including examples of innovative thinking in design, engineering, commerce, and other areas of achievement at Philadelphia University. The benefit gala attracts nearly 500 industry partners, alumni, influencers, and university supporters, while an annual fashion show is attended by more than 2,000 people. Proceeds from the event support students requiring financial assistance to complete their studies.
