The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin has opened its doors in northeast China, marking the 10th property in China for the hotel operator.
Paris-based designer Pierre-Yves Rochon crafted the art deco-styled 277 guestrooms and 53 suites. The property takes architectural inspiration from the neo-classical style of the early 20th century with stately hotel rooms arranged around a courtyard in the European tradition.
The interior’s high ceilings and abundant marble mirror European design. The walls feature handpainted murals of traditional European scenes and Chinese imperial paintings.
The city center property also introduces a new Ritz-Carlton Club, which is designed as a residential concept and includes an open kitchen serving five food and beverage offerings throughout the day.
In addition to the classically styled Lobby lounge, Zest all-day dining celebrates world cuisine with its open kitchens, while Tian Tai Xuan serves contemporary Cantonese creations. Meanwhile, the Flair lifestyle bar and lounge features private wine and cigar rooms.
