The Pittsburgh Penguins have broken ground on the 142-key Cambria Suites, slated for completion in fall 2010. Adjacent to the new Consol Energy Center, the hotel—a partnership among the hockey team, Horizon Hospitality, Buffalo Lodging Associates, and Choice Hotels—will feature brand standards such as Reflect, a bistro-style restaurant; a fitness center known as Refresh, which also has an indoor pool and spa; and sundry shop Refill. The hotel’s suites have separate work and living areas, with some of them offering plug-and-play technology.
