Grace Tan, president of John Portman & Associates, was named one of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business. Tan received the honor from the Asian American Business Development Center for her outstanding leadership, vision, and accomplishments. In her role as president, Tan is responsible for determining, implementing, and enforcing operational policies required for the effective and efficient operations of Portman.
In addition, she leads the yearly business planning and strategic direction of the company; reviews and approves professional and vendor contracts; establishes and maintains the profitability criteria for projects and the firm; manages the issuing, structure, and use of the firm’s human resources; and oversees the firm’s marketing strategy.
