QT Sydney is on track to debut in September as Design Hotels’ first property in the Australian city. The hotel, which occupies the historic Growings department store and State Theatre, features original restored elements such as timber floors, retail showcases, gargoyles, and façade details.
The 200 guest rooms come in 12 different styles, most of which are outfitted with an oversized bathtub and shower and unique design pieces that reference the buildings’ past. A bold, playful palette continues in the Growings Bar and Grill and Parlour Lane Roasters. The hotel also will be home to a new designer spa concept called spaQ.
