Radisson Blu Resort, Gran Canaria has opened its doors on the popular Spanish Island. Norwegian design studio Sias Contract conceived the guestrooms, which showcase sleek marble flooring, private balconies with views of the Atlantic Ocean, and stylish furnishings. “We have tried to escape from uniformity, creating different rooms and apartments which range from the most classical style to the most contemporary, with an atmosphere of controlled luxury,” says Cathrine Nordhus, who, together with Harry Ronneberg, was responsible for the project. “The Scandinavian design coexists with a tribute to light, colors, and lifestyle of the Canary Islands.”
The resort is loaded with amenities, including La Canaria restaurant, the poolside Beach Bar, top-floor terrace lounge, salt and freshwater pools, a gift shop, kids club, fitness center, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and a spa.
