The Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados recently opened on Carlisle Bay thanks to a renovation to the tune of $8 million.

The 124-room resort features a historic, 200-foot-long Victorian pier recently declared a United Nations World Heritage site. Outfitted with contemporary Caribbean furnishings, the guestrooms include mother of pearl and mosaic features, a West Indian color palette and clean lines, a private balcony or terrace, and island or ocean views. Standouts include five Pier suites and one Presidential suite.
The resort also offers an on-site beachfront fitness center, an outdoor kids and adult swimming pool, meeting space to accommodate up to 400 people, and an authentic Caribbean restaurant and bar situated directly over the ocean.
“The opening of this hotel, reinforces our commitment to adding resorts to our portfolio and to further expand our presence in the Caribbean portfolio,” says Javier Rosenberg, COO, Radisson, and executive vice president, Owned and Managed Hotels, Americas. “This marks Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s 16th hotel in the Caribbean and is part of the group’s Ambition 2015 strategy to position Radisson in the Americas as a powerful, globally consistent, first-class brand.”
