Gettys has wrapped up its work on the five-year, multiphase $22 million renovation of the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia. The design firm’s goal was to update the classic interior to a chic modern ambiance, blending historic neo-classic design elements into a 21st century concept.
The final phase of the refurbishment included a modern transformation of the National Historic Landmark hotel’s mezzanine level pre-function area and meeting rooms, public restrooms, and the Locust Street entrance. Earlier phases encompassed the lobby, grand ballroom, guestrooms, and the new Tavern 17 restaurant.
"Bearing measurable success, Gettys met the design challenge of modernizing and updating the public spaces of the property while paying homage to the classic look of our traditional architecture," says Jim Riker, the hotel’s general manager. "The hotel has raised the bar for high-caliber revitalizations to come forth from the brand in the future."
